Deepa Dey

Deepa started her career as a journalist for the leading Business Paper in India and then moved to communications 23 years ago. During her career she has worked in leadership positions, both in-house and with a consultancy, supporting communication outreach for a range of industries including Hospitality, Retail, Infrastructure, Media, Consumer Electronics, Aviation, Telecom and Consumer Healthcare  in India and South Asia.

Deepa joined GSK as Head Communications for India Sub Continent, leading the function for the second largest market outside of the US for the company. Her responsibility includes Leadership messaging, Policy communication, Employer branding, Corporate, Brand and Financial communications, Issue Management and CSR. A member of the India Leadership team, Deepa sits on the Country Executive Board and on APAC Communication leadership team.

Deepa has a Masters in English Literature from Jadavpur University. , Kolkata and started her career as a journalist, contributing to The Economic Times in Kolkata, before moving PR.

Nikhil Dey

Withover20 years of experience in both, the agency and corporate sides of communications, Nikhil plays a key role overseeing the firm’s client growth strategy in addition to scaling up the Centres of Expertise. He joined Genesis BM in 2004 as the head of the northern and eastern markets. Mentoring and growing his team since then, Nikhil has developed some of the best talent in the country. As President, Nikhil oversees a diverse staff of communications professionals across seven key markets. He works closely with client leaders to formulate targeted communications strategies, message development as well as providing crisis counsel and training.

With a view to share his wealth of industry insights, Nikhil also conducts communication courses and guest lectures at a number of esteemed institutions, like ISB Hyderabad, Symbiosis Pune,Delhi School of Communication, International Management Institute, Lady Sriram College, to name a few.

Prior to joining Genesis BM, Nikhil was VicePresident, Corporate Communication for Fiat India. Nitin Mantri

Nitin Mantri is the Chief Executive Officer and Business Partner of Avian Media, one of the top 10 agencies in India. He is also the President of the Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI), the apex body of communications and public relations consultancies in India, for two terms.

Nitin has been recently appointed Vice-President of The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO). He is the first Indian to hold this prestigious position. He continues to be the President of the ICCO Regional Board.

Nitin is also the first Indian to receive the honour of Global PR Leader at the ICCO Global Awards in 2015. He was also featured in the PRWeek’s Global Power Book 2015.

Since he became the PRCAI President in 2015, he has focussed onimproving the public perception of the industry. He regularly speaks at communication events in India and abroad, including ICCO Summit 2016,where he represented the voice of India, the Global Holmes Summit, India Sabre Awards and PRCAI Annual Summit.

To increase awareness about the profession at the grass-root level and stimulate the learning process, Nitin regularly delivers lectures at prominent mass communication colleges in the country including Symbiosis (SIMC), India Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and Xavier Institute of Communication (XIC). In addition, he is a mentor with the Promise Foundation, an organisation that guides PR professionals.
