CEO & MD, Diageo India

Anand Kripalu is CEO and MD of United Spirits Ltd, the country’s largest liquor-maker. After taking over the business in September, 2014, Kripalu saw the company go through tough times and successfully managed to steer it in the right direction like managing to reduce the company’s debt by half to about `3,800 crore. Kripalu has driven the relaunch of their top whisky brands McDowell’s No.1, Royal Challenge and Signature to drive growth in a market that has been sluggish for more than five years. Today the company owns more than 140 brands.
